We do share information with service providers who help us operate our business — for example, our customer relationship management platform (Follow Up Boss), our MLS data feed provider, and, where relevant to your transaction, mortgage or referral partners you’ve agreed to be connected with. These providers are only permitted to use your information to provide services to us, not for their own purposes.

Where Your Information Is Stored

Some of our service providers, including Follow Up Boss, are based in the United States. As a result, your personal information may be stored and processed outside Canada, including in the United States, where it may be accessible to courts, law enforcement, or national security authorities under that country’s laws. By providing your information to us, you consent to this cross-border storage and processing.

How Long We Keep Your Information

We retain your personal information for as long as necessary to provide our services, maintain our business records, and comply with applicable legal, regulatory, and real estate industry record-keeping requirements. If you ask us to delete your information and no legal or regulatory obligation requires us to keep it, we will do so.

SMS Terms and Conditions

1. We use SMS to confirm appointments, send reminders, and notify clients of schedule updates or important changes.
2. You can cancel the SMS service at any time. Just text “STOP.” After you send the SMS message “STOP” to us, we will send you an SMS message to confirm that you have been unsubscribed. After this, you will no longer receive SMS messages from us. If you want to join again, just sign up as you did the first time, and we will start sending SMS messages to you again.
3. If you are experiencing issues with the messaging program, you can reply with the keyword “HELP” for more assistance, or you can get help directly at info@HomeSearchOttawa.com.
4. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
5. Message and data rates may apply for any messages sent to you from us and to us from you. Message frequency may vary. If you have questions about your text or data plan, contact your wireless provider.

Your Choices

You may opt out of SMS communications at any time by replying STOP, and you may unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link in any message.
